One account per computer
Each computer works with one Kinisma account. What the 'linked to another account' message means, switching accounts, and moving to a new computer.
Kinisma Studio works with one Kinisma account per computer. The first account that signs in on a computer is linked to it.
"This computer is linked to another Kinisma account"
If you sign in with a different account on a linked computer, the app shows this message with a hint of the linked account's name. Sign in with that account instead.
Switch the account on a computer
Signing out doesn't unlink the computer. To use a different account on it, email [email protected] from the linked account's email address and say which computer to free. Once it's freed, sign in with the new account.
Use more than one computer
Your account can be used on several computers: sign in on each one. Projects stay on the computer they were made on; to move one, copy its folder (see Projects and files).
Manage your computers
The web dashboard lists every computer signed in to your account. You can rename one, or sign one out. See Devices.
A computer signed out from the dashboard shows "This computer was signed out from the dashboard. Sign in again in Settings → Account." Sign in again with the same account to carry on.
A new computer
- Install Kinisma Studio on the new computer and sign in.
- Copy your project folders across if you want them there.
- Optionally sign the old computer out from Devices.
Questions
Does signing out free the computer for another account?
No. Signing out ends your session, but the computer stays linked to your account. To use a different account on it, contact support.
Can I use Kinisma Studio on two computers?
Yes, with the same account on each one. Each computer appears in your dashboard's Devices list.
