Updated October 10, 2026

Kinisma Studio updates itself, so you get new features as soon as they're out. Every release is listed on the changelog.

Version 0.2.1 (10 October 2026)

Windows first; the Mac version follows shortly. Only Stick figures changed in this release.

  • More consistent stick figures: each character keeps the same look in every scene, props stay in their hands and are held the right way, and walking figures move across the scene.
  • Real-world sizes: doors, houses, cars and benches are drawn to scale next to the characters, and characters stay fully in frame.
  • Paper folding: characters can fold a paper plane step by step.
  • No captions over the drawing: words appear only in speech and thought bubbles and on signs.
  • Fixes: characters no longer overlap, crowds are smaller and spaced out, and sitting characters sit on their seats.
  • Dashboard: Video ad and Stick figures projects are listed under their own types.

Version 0.2.0 (10 October 2026)

Windows first; the Mac version follows shortly.

  • Video ad: a branded ad made from your own logo, product shots, clips and brand guide. See Video ads.
  • Stick figures: hand-drawn stick-figure stories in black ink on white, with characters, bubbles and a narrator. See Stick figures.
  • Film mode: Custom videos and Video ads on Best quality are made as one continuous film by a team of AI specialists, from a plan with a style frame you approve. It takes longer and uses more credits. See Film mode.
  • Attach anything: attach a whole folder of up to 200 files, and the agent now reads PDF, Word, PowerPoint and Excel files, looks at your images and inside your videos, and transcribes audio. See Attach files and folders.
  • ElevenLabs Voice Library: search, preview and use thousands of community voices. See Voices and narration.
  • Better narration: even loudness from scene to scene, and scripts written the way they're said.
  • Never silent: if an original track can't be composed, a free library track is used.
  • Make video first: the chat opens in Make video mode; pick Brainstorm when you want it.
  • Kids story is retired. Projects made with it still open.
